Constantinos is a Cambridge University graduate with a degree in Economics and a professional Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) as well as the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He is also an International Tax affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).

He is an experienced tax practitioner and holds the prestigious ADIT qualification (Advanced Diploma in International Tax) with Distinction, ranking among the first 10 worldwide candidates in 2017.  His scripts for 2 out of the 3 papers, Principles in International Taxation and EU VAT have been published on the Institute’s website as recommended candidate scripts.

Constantinos has qualified with Deloitte, London and has subsequently worked for KPMG Cyprus gaining significant experience in the fields of audit, tax and advisory.

He is currently the managing director of C. Kounnis & Partners Ltd and as of 2023 Constantinos serves on ICPAC’s Tax Compliance Committee. He leads the audit engagements of a number of high-profile companies in Cyprus across a range of sectors including hospitality, media, real estate, retail, and finance. He also offers professional advice on effective international tax structuring, corporate reorganizations, and estate planning.

Constantinos has also a passion for learning and development. He is an approved Human Resource Development Authority trainer and a Certified Silva Method Instructor and Certified EMCC Coach. He is the founder of Kounnis Academy which specializes in providing specialized training courses for accelerating technical, core professional, and digital skills. He also teaches advanced international taxation to ACCA and ADIT students of the University of Nicosia. In 2024 Constantinos has been recognized by LinkedIn Community as a Top Business Strategy Voice and regularly writes on mindful leadership and business strategy topics.

Constantinos is married with 2 kids. In his spare time, he loves playing tennis. He is a musician from an early age and he enjoys playing the piano, the saxophone and the bouzouki
